At Gym64, your well-being is our priority. Building a sense of community within the gym is at the heart of everything we do and we want all our members to feel as though they are part of something bigger.
You don’t need us to remind you that physical activity and moving your body comes with a whole host of physical health benefits. Something you might not think about as often, however, are the numerous mood-boosting and stress-busting mental benefits that regular exercise can offer too. Now, more than ever, there is an increased awareness of the link between exercise and mental wellness. We’ve noticed that so many of our members, both group exercisers and gym floor regulars, are working out for the feel-good factor. Whether they’re unwinding from a stressful day at work in one of our yoga classes or hyping themselves up for the week ahead in their Monday morning gym floor workout, we are proud that our members choose Gym64 as a space to prioritise their well-being.
We know what you’re thinking, though. It’s all very well knowing that exercise is a gateway to improved mental wellbeing… but what if you’re too anxious to set foot in a gym in the first place? The irony isn’t lost on us and we know how challenging a step it can be for new members. Let us tell you a few of the perks of being a Gym64 member that will minimise your worries, boost your confidence and help you feel empowered.
Firstly, as a Gym64 member, you have a variety of complementary appointments included in your membership to ensure you’re never left feeling directionless or unsure. You can book in at reception for a Health Assessment, a Gym Induction, a Gym Programme and a Nutrition Evaluation. A member of our experienced fitness team will meet with you one-on-one to tailor your gym experience to your individual goals and guide you at every step. What’s better is that these appointments are not just a one-off. We offer these appointments to all of our members on either a four, eight- or twelve-week basis, depending on the membership you select. Whether you’re a seasoned gym go-er or a complete beginner, we are here to support you.
Secondly, we operate a “no question is daft” policy. We strive to make Gym64 a safe space to learn. Whether you’re unsure how to use a piece of equipment, need some guidance or are looking to find your niche in the gym, we love helping you find your way. Any member of our fitness team will be happy to demonstrate equipment for you, teach you how to perform any exercise like a pro and also recommend group fitness classes you might enjoy. You can feel free to approach us at any time – we love talking about this kind of thing!
Speaking of group fitness… what better way to connect with like-minded people than trying out a class? At Gym64, we believe that exercising in a group setting is a brilliant way to boost your motivation levels, make friends, keep yourself accountable week on week and (most importantly!) to leave the gym with a buzz that makes you want to come back. Our timetable is jam-packed with a variety of options, including Les Mills and in-house classes, that can all be modified to suit any fitness and ability level.
